How affiliate links work on CasaBear

Many product links on casabear.com are affiliate links to retailers and affiliate programs — including, among others, the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and home-goods retailer programs we join over time. If you click one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the retailer directly.

As an Amazon Associate, CasaBear earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

How this affects our recommendations

• Recommendations come first. Our guides are researched from manufacturer specifications and verified owner feedback. A product with a higher commission never outranks a better product.
• Every pick lists downsides. If a product has a weakness we know about, it appears in the guide, commission or not.
• Prices are checked, then change anyway. We date every product check ("last checked" appears in our product boxes). Retailers change prices constantly, so the figure on the retailer's page is the one that counts.
• No paid placements. Brands cannot pay CasaBear for a feature, a ranking position, or a favorable verdict.

Identifying affiliate links

Commercial articles on CasaBear carry a disclosure box near the top, before the first product recommendation, and our site footer repeats the full disclosure on every page. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page code, as search engines require.
